Kenya
Kenya has found funding for an anti-doping structure and has prepared necessary legislation but the country still needs to deliver by April 5 or risk being non-compliant.
The East African nation, known for producing some of the world’s premier distance runners has recently found itself in the spotlight for some of its athletes using illegal, performance-enhancing drugs.
The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) had announced in November 2015 it had been investigating Kenya since March last year, for allegations of covering up doping.
About 40 athletes have been banned for doping over the last three years, and if the country is declared non-compliant its track and field athletes could miss out on the Rio de Janeiro Olympics starting in August.
Russian athletes have already been banned with the country struggling to become compliant in time for the Games.
